Broken Aurora - print
Description
So many thoughts come to me when I look at this final creation.
First of all, to me this work is a manifest of emotional behavior and spontaneous acts. Or maybe even what it means to be a Woman. I didn’t plan to tear this work when I started sketching it. In a moment I didn’t like it and the next moment I tore it in half.
Then I remembered that I’m so much against destroying artworks. Because art is extremely subjective and so many times the pieces that I didn’t love have found and abundance of love and acceptance from many others. So I decided to keep the pieces and glue them together.
Then the main reason why I’ve done this creation the way I did it was to show that scars are not ugly and if you could see through the scar tissue you would see beauty.
