Aviary. Chapter II is dedicated to the kingfisher - a bird I keep coming back to for its colour, stillness and precision.
For this chapter, I painted four kingfishers from different parts of the world. Each one has its own colour story, but they all come from the same fascination.

The Amazon Kingfisher has such a strong, watchful presence. I was drawn to the contrast between its calm posture and the sharpness of its beak, colour, and silhouette. It feels grounded and still, but full of quiet tension.

This is one of the most delicate birds in the chapter. I love how much colour it carries in such a tiny body - warm, bright, and almost glowing. It feels rare, quiet, and full of life at the same time.

How long will my order take to arrive?
Each print is made after the release closes, then signed and numbered by hand. Orders are dispatched within about two weeks of the release closing, and you will receive tracking as soon as yours is on its way.
Where are the prints made?
Every print is produced, signed and numbered in Polina's studio in Sydney, Australia, and shipped worldwide from there.
Are the prints signed?
Yes. Every print is signed and numbered by hand. The edition number is written on the print, not printed with it.
Do the prints come framed?
No. Every print is sold unframed. Some photographs show a print in a frame to give a sense of scale, but the frame is not included.
How will my print be packaged?
A4 and A3+ are sent flat in a rigid board mailer. A2 is rolled in a tube. Everything is tracked.
Are the prints archival?
Yes. All prints are made on archival cotton fine art paper with pigment inks.
What is an original painting?
The original is the actual watercolour Polina painted, one of a kind. Once it is claimed it will not be available again. Originals are shipped flat and insured, and carry their own shipping cost at checkout.
What is the policy on returns?
Prints are made to order, so we cannot accept returns for change of mind. If anything arrives damaged, send us a photo and we will replace it.
Are taxes and duties included?
Prices are shown in USD. Any taxes, duties or customs charges depend on your destination and may be charged by your local customs authority or carrier.
How long is this release available?
Aviary. Chapter II is open for seven days, or until an edition sells out. Once it closes, these editions will not be printed again.
